While ground & arena work provide the foundations for your horseriding dreams it is out on the trail you can put all your skills into practice. It is here that you get a real sense of the teamwork of the horse & rider on the trail and remember what horseriding is all about - joy and relaxation!
Keeping it Safe and Simple
After spending most of her life involved with horses Pieta has been training and breaking for the past 15 years. Since 2005 her main training focus has been the off the track Standardbred with over 60 horses being transitioned to saddle by 
Through the process of retraining and selling Standardardbreds, Pieta realised there was a huge interest in pleasure riding by people who had ridden when they were younger but had a long break or who had always wanted to ride but not had the opportunity before. She also realised that the traditional riding lessons offered to these people were not fulfilling their needs or giving them the skills they required to pursue their horse riding interest safely and enjoyably.
Along with her experience in breaking, training, teaching, stock work and trail riding Pieta is also an Accredited Trail Boss with the Australian Trail Horse Riders Association and is currently completing the government approved Certificate III in Sport Coaching Equestrian SRS30306. All these experiences (plus being a mother of 4 horse mad children) has given Pieta a keen eye for risk management and an emphasis on safety and simplicity in her teaching methods. Hence...

My approach to training the horse and rider is based on an understanding of the importance of intent, balance and confidence in all our horse work, whether on the ground or under saddle.
